Ready to hang right out of the box, each chime is made using natural and sustainable bamboo and fiber. As they sway in the breeze, their hypnotic, percussive melody will help you to relax and dream of distant lands.
With proper care, they'll last for years. Protect them from direct sunlight or heavy winds - a porch overhang or a shady tree are good locations to optimize your enjoyment! Take them inside during extreme weather conditions - especially winter months - and store them in an unheated area for safekeeping until spring. Use a damp cloth from time to time to clean them, and apply a coat of clear varnish every year or so to protect them from heat and humidity.
Carefully harvested and cured, the bamboo is assembled to reduce the risk of cracks and prolong its life. Sensitive to humidity and sudden temperature changes, bamboo expands and contracts in reaction to the weather conditions, and hairline cracks may appear over time. Unless they become large, they will not affect the sound or durability of the chime.
In the rare event that you receive a chime with damage, or large cracks, contact us and immediately send a photograph, so we can quickly get a new chime sent to you.
