With proper care, the chimes will last for years. Hang them in a protected area and take them inside during extreme weather conditions - especially during winter months - and store them in an unheated area. Clean them with a damp cloth from time to time and occasionally apply a coat of clear varnish to protect them from excessive heat and humidity.

Carefully harvested to properly dry the bamboo, they are carefully cured to reduce the risk of cracks. Bamboo wood is sensitive to humidity and weather conditions, and expands and contracts in reaction to weather changes. Hairline cracks may appear, but unless they become large, will not affect the sound.

Each chime is inspected before it leaves the warehouse to ensure that only the highest quality product makes it to your door. If you receive a chime with damage, or large cracks, please photograph it and contact us immediately so we can quickly get a new chime to you.
